Guide: How to create PDF files for free from any program

PDF is an incredibly popular format for distributing documents electronically. It is created by Adobe , but their Adobe Acrobat software will cost a hefty penny. However, there are free alternatives that let you print to a PDF file from any program.
Adobe Acrobat is the original program to create PDF files. The same company is also behind the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is used to read PDF documents.Now it is not necessary to use these programs. Adobe Acrobat costs a lot, while the reader is free. Would you be able to save files and documents in PDF format, there are free programs.

PDFCreator creates PDF free

One of the many alternative free tool that can be downloaded, is PDFCreator . It is developed in open source and you can download it from the program's website (this link says "Download PDFCreator now!" and is located in the main column - do not click the ad links on the right). Like its competitors PDFCreator installs itself as a printing device.
To create a PDF document from an application - such as Microsoft Word or AbiWord- so, select File -> Print , as usual. In the dialog that pops up, you can choose which printer you want to use. As a rule, your emergency printer selected in the list. Change this to PDFCreator . Click Print .
A dialog box will appear where you can make changes for the title and date on the document. In Settings you will find a lot to adjust if you feel like it, but as a rule, you can choose to save your PDF document. Click therefore on Save .
Now you get to choose a filename for your document. Then just sit back and let the PDFCreator to create your PDF documents, all for free!

That said, there are several other programs, if you would not be comfortable with PDFCreator. Do not you like the program, just uninstall it and try something different.Among those worth mentioning are CutePDF and PrimoPDF . BullZip PDF Printer , I have not tried, but it's got good grades.
